Deer

Ok, I know that's a very random title.

But here's the thing.

Did you know HOW MANY FUCKING SPECIES OF DEER?!?!?!

There are approximately 43 different species of deer.

This may not seem like a lot, but this includes Moose, Elk, and Reindeer!

Look how cute these babies are.

My favorite one out of all of these pudu.

Some of these deer are meat animals!!

But the lil pudus!!!

They are so tiny and cute and their little hooves.

You're probably wondering, “Taylor why the fuck do we even care? Why are you writing about this?”

Well, because I have to fucking write every day, and this is the shit that is occupying my brain.

I'm also going to be making a list of “only things girl dads say” if you feel like sending me a message of all the shit your dad has said to you and your sisters or you have said to your daughter.

D yelling across the house, “Girls, would you like to be mermaids tonight?” 🧜‍♀️ 🤣 instantly prompted that because I KNOW that's something only girl dads say, and I'm positive if I sat and thought enough, I could think of shit my dad has said.

Don't let me forget to write about his makeup company lol

But anyway, it's 11am. I got to sleep in for the first time in 6 months…. I slept until 10 am. I do not remember the last time I did that.

My girls are happy and home with us.

And my favorite time of year…. Although, tbh… as a parent, it's exhausting but filled with SO much joy.

But back to the deer.

D is a hunter (I love wild game…. Hello, nutrient density), and we got started talking about the YouTube video he was watching about this guy who lived in an ungovernable part of California. And he didn't raise any animals.

Thus, my brain was like… what does he hunt? Then, I was a little stumped because, for the life of me, I couldn't think what animals someone would hunt for food in Northern California.

More googling.

And we landed on the animals and the specific type of deer.

And THAT is how my brain jumped to “How many fucking deer types exist?”

And that is how we arrived here lol

So here we are.

There was no point to this besides to get my words done, lol, and to show you all cute deer.
