Love disturbed just not my top top. I actually went to a disturbed concert solely for seeing Falling In Reverse open for them. we stayed for disturbed and it was dope af
You know people telling me I was so strong used to piss me off so much because I was like "I'm not strong I got fucking forced into the situation I have no other choice" but like now yeah. I am strong! Like I've gone through all of that my character my resilience has been built so strongly like I'm a fucking brick wall now which like would I rather not had gone through those things probably but like since I did I might as well do something with it.
Love (mostly) every song or band you mentioned. ๐ค How you got into metal really sucks. Been there too. What is this thing about Nickelback?? I really enjoy theyโre music but admitting this sometimes seems like a crime. ๐
Thank you for sharing something so personal with such honesty and strength. Itโs truly powerful that youโve found a way to take something as dark as that experience and turn it into a source of growth and discovery for yourself. Itโs no small thing to find beauty or passion in something that could easily have been tied to pain, and I admire how youโve claimed metal music for yourself.
Your story shows resilience and an amazing ability to shift the narrative on your terms. Itโs really inspiring to see you embrace your love of music, not for anyone elseโs approval, but because it genuinely resonates with you.
And by the way, being the best bassoon player in California is no small featโthatโs awesome! Keep celebrating those wins and embracing what lights you up. You deserve it.
You always give me such thoughtful comments. Thank you LRT. I think one of the big purposes in my life was to fina beauty and passion in the really fuckinh hard things. I've learned that it can be found anywhere you just have to look for it.
It totes sucks how I developed my taste and then love for metal music but it is what it is and that's why I chose to share that.
but also I think there was some kind of trend with like among the grunge movement that Nickelback was like some kind of like cheesy fake boy band I don't know I think it's stupid but that's all I kind of know I probably could Google it and learn more but I don't need to do that
There is nothing, and I mean nothing wrong with Nickleback
Wait! Your parents are only a few years older than me. ๐
Hahahaha nickleback is the best.
Yes i seem to make friends with people my parents age ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ not sure what that says about me.
Clearly it says youโre cool. ๐
Bahahahahahahahs yes that is exactly it.
No Disturbed or FFDP?!! But yes, I agree with you, โbefore you judge the screaming listen to the meaningโ, itโs all very cathartic
Love disturbed just not my top top. I actually went to a disturbed concert solely for seeing Falling In Reverse open for them. we stayed for disturbed and it was dope af
you got a scholarship to college for playing the bassoon?! I have never heard of that, very cool
Yes! I was even offered a higher scholarship to stay on in the program and get another degree but all I wanted to do was get married lol
Itโs awesome you can still listen to music from that dark time without getting triggers or ptsd from the SA. Youโre so strong!๐
